A scion of illustrious Chassidic dynasties, Rabbi Twerski has been strongly shaped and influenced by his rich past. He also represents a strong and hopeful future as the spiritual leader of Congregation Beth Jehudah in Milwaukee, WI. Rabbi Twerski counsels people all over the world and continues to serve as an inspiration to countless Jews who call him ‘Rebbe’. Rabbi Twerski is also a composer and singer, creating many well-known Jewish melodies heard the world over.
Rabbi Benzion Twerski represents the third generation of Rabbinic leadership at Congregation Beth Jehudah. He strives to take classic Chassidic texts and teach them in a manner that makes them relevant to all who strive to connect with their teachings. Rabbi Twerski’s sensitivity and probing intellect has allowed him to develop close relationships with his congregation and he is heavily sought after as a speaker throughout the country.
Rabbi Efraim Twerski is the Rabbi of Congregation Khal Chasidim located in the West Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. Khal Chasidim is known for its exceptional warmth where Jews of all walks of life feel welcome and at home. Rabbi Twerski is a scion of the Chernobyl, Sanz and Bobov Chasidic dynasties. He grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is the second son of Rabbi Michel and Rebbetzin Feige Twerski. Rabbi Twerski learned in the Bobov Yeshiva in Bat Yam, Israel and later at the Yeshiva of Lucerne Switzerland. He married Raizel Iliovits of Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1992 and lived in New York where he learned in Kollel Mateh Efraim where he was ordained. Rabbi Twerski moved to Chicago with his family in 2001.
Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Twerski is Rav of Beis Medrash Torei Zahav (formerly Anshei Chesed) in Wesley Hills, NY, and a Maggid Shiur at the Bobov Yeshiva in Monsey. Prior to assuming his leadership role in Wesley Hills, Rabbi Twerski spent 10 years studying in the Belzer Kollel Iyun in Yerushalayim. He is married to Chani Eiger of Brooklyn, NY. Rabbi Twerski carries on the proud tradition of his Milwaukee family in Wesley Hills, where the community and the Beis Medrash are continuously growing thanks to his guidance and scholarship.
